Fox News has replaced the traditional newsdesk with large touchscreens. How large? 55 inches worth of Microsoft touchscreen.
Those are quite large devices. Looks a little silly if you ask me. The devices are running Windows 8, and are said to cost around $8000 each. This allows the staffers to get Fox News their story updates from Facebook, Twitter, and other such media. Anchor Sam Shepard calls the screens BAT, or Big area touchscreens. At least this will make it harder for someone to use a computer at work for playing games or surfing the web, it’s too easy for others to see what you are doing.
